poems
The film STILL is inspired by a collection of poems written by Jason Woo. Here are a few of his writings that the filmmakers particularly love... the ones that inspire and made the film possible.

Fishes

If we were fishes,
We would be those multi-colored ones
Un abashed,
Un ashamed of our shimmering
               glittering
Gold, silver, violet scales

If we were fishes,
We would be the prettiest ones
With elaborate fins
Those fan-like fins that graced the waters

If we were fishes,
We would be like those
Living in a bowl
All on display for everybody to see

Leave the Light On

Leave the light on
Let me see you with my naked eyes
Your naked body
Sprawled across the soiled sheets

Let me see your eyes
Dark with no more of that glow
The love
You never felt

Leave the light on
So I can see the man that you are
And the boy I just discover
That I really am

Leave the light on
Let me see you leave through that door
With your socks
Still in the back pocket of your jeans

Voracious

Cleaning my paws
Licking my lips
Ready to pounce
On the next un-suspecting prey
That comes this way
Unleash that animal in me
Let the instinct take over
Walk me around the block
A few more times

This strange powerful appetite
To devour a man
Exhilaration brimming –
Wonderfully exciting –
